How To Demand Consistency From A Boss
Before one decides to work, they normally make a decision to work under someone. One of the reasons that make people seek employment is when one wants growth in their career. When one gets a financial incentive, they can decide to work for an employer. Another reason that people normally seek employment is if they want a change in their life. Bosses and their employees need each other and this is why one should not feel timid towards their boss.
Both employers and employees should give reliability, hard work, proficiency and honesty. There needs to be consistency with the pattern of pay from an employer. When one signs a contract after they are employed, it will include the pattern of pay and this is what one should expect from an employer. Contracts usually have a pattern of pay which can include monthly, weekly, or every fortnight. Employees should be paid every time that they are supposed to be paid and employees should demand this.
Depending on a situation such as sick pay and commission work, one needs to talk with an employer about this before taking a job. To avoid having a mix up with an employer, one should discuss this from the very beginning. One of the ways to make sure that one is paid on time is by creating pay stubs. Pay stubs can be used as evidence by an employer to show their employees that they have made payments on salaries and wages. Sometimes, employers make late payments for a day or two but one needs to demand that this should not go on otherwise it can become a habit.
Another place where one should demand consistency is in the workload. In case other employees are sick or doing other jobs, some employees may get an unfair workload as a result of this. People who are in these situations often should demand more consistency. One of the ways to deal with this situation is to talk more about this issue with a superior.
In case a superior does not do anything about it, one can make a complaint to the human resource department.
Through taking notes of any unfair treatment, one will have evidence that one can take to the human resource department if one needs to report the matter. Since one is expected to give a lot as an employee, one should also demand the same from an employer. Employees should learn to stop letting companies get away with inconsistency.
